16 hours in Paris
A minimally touristy day in Paris courtesy of "a local friend" From airport take RER B towards Paris. Stop at Luxembourg. You will arrive in French Garden in 6th arrondissement. Take Rur De Condé until metro stop Odeon in St-Germain des pres. Turn right arrive se rue des écoles . On your left is La Sorbonne.Go back and down Rue Mazarin then down Rue Dauphine.Arrive à entrance of Pont Neuf. On your right a discreet impending will lead to La Place Dauphine. (Bar des caveaux) Continue and cross Le pont Neuf. See the tour Eiffel on one side and notre dame de Paris on the other side.On the other side of the bridge is La Seine walk until l'hotel de villa Arrive in Le quarter des Marais in the 4th arrondissement.Rue des Rosiers - there are so many amazing falafel places here, go to the one with the longest lines and ask for all the fixings. Continue on Rue Vieille du Temple until Marche des enfants Rouge Go up Rue Oberkampf in the 11th arrondissement go to Chez Gana boulangerieContinue on that street until 115 , you will pass by a florist (l'arrosoir) the inside is beautiful. Up the street there's an area dedicated to street art. There's cafe Charbon the oldest cafe (always open)Go up Rue Crespin de Gast until number 14 . Walk into a small yard and take the elevator till last floor!!! There it's a Bar and Restaurant on the roof with a pretty view. The Bar happened to be closed as we got there too early but you are still able to exit. From here we decided to jump into an uber and head to the Eiffel Tower which was the only touristy item on our list. Cost was about 36 dollars for an Uber XL with capacity for 5 seats. Target the Eiffel Tower around the later afternoon and as evening rolls around you will capture the glowing orange lights of the tower. From there you will be right near a metro station and can make your way back to the airport hotel if you have chosen to take one. Otherwise you can also head back to the airport from here directly.ENJOY!
