Hong Kong 2019
How we got there: From Vietnam I would highly recommend Vietnam Airlines especially for Delta/Sky Team status members. Sky priority alone saves us over a hour wait to check in.Insiders tip: Vietnam Airlines allows you to bid on a possible business class upgrade. We bid 100 dollars (would have been 600) and we were upgraded. Service is wonderful. Flight time from Hanoi 1.5 hours. [wpvideo UXfDOmyC ]Where we stayed: Brace yourselves as hotels come at a hefty price. We found a good deal with the Renaissance (part of Marriott rewards). The room was small but the view was spectacular.[wpvideo 0DouYb7N ]
Where we ate:Yardbird: of all the places people recommended to us this one appeared on all the lists. This Japanese influenced venue had a line up at opening hour. The food was delicious and the service was stellar. Come hungry!Insiders tip: get there at 6 and ask to sit in back. http://yardbirdrestaurant.com/

Tim Ho Wan: tucked away in the lower level of a mall this one Michelin star failed to impress. Unless you want to ride the fad wave would skip.
Fook Lam Moon: this staple made all of our recommenders lists. The food was great but we stuck to the basics as it was a late dinner. Service was wonderful.
Apres Dinner:Ozone Bar: head to the Ritz Carlton to find the highest rooftop bar in the world. Views are spectacular though the patio was closed because of rain.[wpvideo B7dGQdEX ]
What we did: We didn't really do any of the typical tourist destinations as we only had a day and a half on the ground. We spentthis time exploring neighborhoods including SOHO. We checked out a few malls including the Langham Place. We didn't have much success in finding sneakers but there are no shortage of options on sneaker street. The ladies market is just a short walk away.
