Florence 2019
How we got there:High speed train service from Bologna will have you there in under an hour.Where we stayed: The Kraft Hotel is perfectly located and as an added benefit is one of the only 4 star hotels to have a rooftop pool. The room was crisp and clean with a cute balcony, marble bathroom and beautiful wood flooring. The hotel was great and I would most certainly stay here again. The breakfast service was located on a patio with stunning g vistas of Florence's beautiful cityscape. We spent hours in the 96 degree midday temperatures soaking in the pool. The only negative about the hotel was that Wifi service was suboptimal. https://www.krafthotel.it/

[wpvideo lYzQ4shs ]What we did: most of our time in Florence was spent getting lost in the quaint alleys and maze like streets. While we only had 3 days here we started with a quick trip to "The Mall". Located outside the city this likely the nicest luxury outlet facility you will find. Prices are amazing and selection is solid. https://firenze.themall.it/it/outlet-toscana/homepage/
Obviously the stunning churches and beautiful museums are a must see if you have the time. For us the goal was to head to the Accademia gallery to see David. I would highly recommend buying tickets in advance online for a set time.

Where we ate:Continuing to follow the evolving Brand of Massimo Bottura we decided to check out one of their newer ventures Gucci Osteria which is just adjacent to the Gucci gardens which houses a small Gucci museum and Gucci gardens branded merchandise (both are worth a visit). The restaraunt has a 7 course tasting menu offered in only the main dining room inside which is a creation of Mexican born Ana Lopez who started originally at Osteria Francescana. The courses were delicious, beautiful and the space itself was the perfect pairing of fashion, style and food!

The Gucci Gardens and Museum:For the fashion lovers, the Gucci's gardens and museum are a wonderful detour to explore some of the amazing historical pieces from Gucci collections past and present. The gardens impart a feeling that you are Alice lost in a Gucci wonderland.
